field trip!

Took a field trip with Emma's class today to the Gwinnett Environmental & Heritage Center. Pretty nice nature center and interpretive hiking trails. The center is focused primarily on water issues but they did an good job of creating hands-on activity centers and nature trails.

november

fall weather in georgia! it's been cool and crisp and the leaves are turning fantastic colors. it's a great contrast to have actual seasons and fall is the best IMHO.

the ej's

october breakdown

the weather here in atlanta is starting to turn fall-like, which I love. it's cool, crisp and the leaves are dropping like mad. and october is almost over, next stop, halloween and then on to november. time seems to go faster and faster the older we get. the kids are growing so fast and i'm feeling aches and pains that i never thought i would. time is catching up with me.

so i just bought airline tickets from atlanta to orange county and i paid about $150 more than last year. worth the money to see the california clan and to go to mammoth skiing but lord, expensive stuff. the good news is that my company is doing well in this crazy economy. our ceo just gave a great talk and i feel that while we're not recession proof, we're poised to ride through this economic downturn and come out strong. these are strange days indeed, most peculiar.
